This standard applies to aquariums made of glass material, with a rated water capacity of no more than 2000 L and a rated voltage of no more than 250 V, used indoors for household and similar purposes (hereinafter referred to as aquariums). This standard does not apply to outdoor aquariums or commercial aquariums (such as those used in underwater worlds). For wall mounted aquariums, or aquariums made of tempered glass, organic materials, or other materials, this standard can be referred to. Note: This standard only specifies aquariums that use fresh water. For aquariums that use seawater, clauses applicable to seawater conditions should be added to the basis of this standard
