This standard applies to laboratory nuclear instruments, isotope and radiation application nuclear instruments, radioactive exploration and mineral processing nuclear instruments, medical nuclear instruments, nuclear reactor instruments, and radiation protection instruments. The grouping and testing methods of environmental conditions for nuclear instruments specified in this standard are the basis for formulating environmental testing conditions and methods in nuclear instrument product standards and related documents. The performance requirements of nuclear instruments under specified environmental conditions are not within the scope of this standard and are specified by relevant product standards. The application environmental conditions and test methods that exceed the provisions of this standard shall be resolved through consultation between the user and the manufacturer in accordance with relevant product standards. This standard is not applicable to safety level (1E level) nuclear instruments in nuclear power plants. Equipment that cannot undergo complete machine testing can undergo separate tests. 2.
