This standard specifies the items, cycles, and requirements for preventive testing of tools, devices, and equipment for live working, in order to determine whether the tools, devices, and equipment meet the conditions of use, prevent their damage, and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment during live working. This standard applies to tools, devices, and equipment used for live working in AC and DC power systems. This standard does not apply to tools, devices, and equipment used for live working in special environments. The relevant technical parameters of this standard are applicable to areas with an altitude of 1000m and below: in areas with an altitude of 1000m or above, the relevant parameters should undergo altitude correction.
