Humidifier testing with heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems

This chapter of GB 4706.1-2005 is replaced by the following: This part of GB 4706 specifies the safety of humidifiers with heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems for household and similar purposes. This section applies to electric humidifiers with heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems in household, commercial, and light industrial applications (also including large independent commercial installations), which operate through evaporation or atomization systems, water injection, steam production, and similar methods. The maximum rated voltage of single-phase appliances does not exceed 250 V; The rated voltage of other appliances does not exceed 600 v. Note 1: Air conditioning devices incorporating humidifiers referred to in this part are covered in IEC 60335-2-40. In practical terms, this section deals with the general hazards associated with appliances, which can be encountered by all personnel within and around the residence. However, this section usually does not consider: - the use of equipment by unattended young children and people with disabilities- The situation of children playing with equipment. Note 2: The following situations should be noted: - For equipment intended for use on vehicles, ships, or aircraft, additional requirements are required—— The health department, labor protection department, and similar departments also have additional requirements. Note 3: This section does not apply to humidifiers without room heating, ventilation, or air conditioning devices specifically designed for household use (see IEC 60335-2-98)—— Instruments specifically designed for industrial use—— Devices used in certain special environmental conditions, such as corrosive or explosive environments (dust, steam, or gas) - humidifiers used for medical purposes (see IEC 60601). 2 Normative references.
