This document specifies the technical requirements for the structure, mechanical performance, electrical performance, and other technical requirements of plugs, sockets, and couplers with arc-shaped contacts. This document is applicable to plugs, sockets, connectors, and appliance input sockets (hereinafter referred to as electrical accessories) with standard structure arc-shaped contacts, with a rated working voltage not exceeding 600 V, 50 Hz, or 60 Hz a.c., and a rated current of 20 A and 30 A, mainly used for commercial purposes, indoor use, and in environments where there is little water present. This document is applicable to electrical accessories used when the ambient temperature is usually within the range of -25 ℃ to+40 ℃. These electrical accessories are intended to be connected only to copper or copper alloy cables. The requirement for interchangeability is only defined for electrical accessories with a protection level of IP20. Note: The basic conditions for indoor use are based on the limitations of IEC 60364-5-51:2005 Table T51A and ADI. Sockets or appliance input sockets installed in or fixed to electrical equipment are within the scope of this document. 2 Normative References The content of the following documents constitutes an essential clause of this document through normative references in the text.
