This specification is revised by the Chinese Academy of Building Sciences in collaboration with relevant units based on the original "Code for Design of Building Foundations" GB 50007-2002, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development's "Notice on Issuing the Plan for Formulation and Revision of Engineering Construction Standards and Specifications (First Batch) in 2008" (Jian Biao E2008] No. 102). This specification takes effect from August 1, 2012. According to the requirements of our Ministry's "Notice on Issuing the Plan for Formulating and Revising Engineering Construction Standards in 1997" (Jian Biao [1997] No. 108), the "Code for Design of Building Foundations" jointly revised by the Ministry of Construction and relevant departments has been approved as a national standard with the number GB50007-2002 after joint review by relevant departments. It will come into effect on April 1, 2002. Among them, 3.0.2, 3.0.4, 5.1.3, 5.3.1, 5.3.4, 5.3.10, 6.1.1, 6.3.1, 6.4.1, 7.2.7, 7.2.8, 8.2.7, 8.4.5, 8.4.7, 8.4.9, 8.4.13, 8.5.9, 8.5.10, 8.5.18, 8.5.19, 9.1.3, 9.1.6, 9.2.8, 10.1.1, 10.1.6, 10.1.8, and 10.2.9 are mandatory provisions that must be strictly enforced. The original "Code for Design of Building Foundations" GBJ7-89 was abolished on December 31, 2002. This specification is managed by the Ministry of Construction and the interpretation of mandatory provisions. The China Academy of Building Sciences is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical content, and the Institute of Standards and Quotas of the Ministry of Construction organizes China Construction Industry Press to publish and distribute it
