This standard applies to three pole AC load switches and isolation load switches with rated voltages of 3.6 kV to 40.5 kV, frequencies of 50 Hz, installed indoors or outdoors, and rated making and breaking currents. This standard also applies to the operating mechanisms and auxiliary equipment of these load switches. The isolation load switch should also meet the relevant provisions of GB 1985. The general principles and regulations in this standard also apply to single pole load switches in single-phase systems. The requirements for insulation testing, making and breaking tests should meet the requirements of the specified usage occasions. Note 1: Unless otherwise specified, the term "load switch" represents all types of load switches and isolating load switches within the scope of this standard. Note 2: The grounding switch is not included in the scope of this standard. The requirements for grounding switches as part of load switches are included in GB 1985. Note 3: This standard does not apply to load switches operated by opening and closing fuses and used as accessories for high-voltage fuses. 2 Normative References: The clauses in the following documents become clauses of this standard through reference in this standard.
