The "Management Measures for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" is a regulation formulated to control and reduce environmental pollution caused by discarded electrical and electronic products, promote clean production and comprehensive utilization of resources in the electrical and electronic industry, encourage green consumption, and protect the environment and human health. On January 6, 2016, the "Management Measures for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" was reviewed and approved by the ministerial meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, With the consent of the Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China and other eight departments have issued Order No. 32, which will come into effect on July 1, 2016
